Hwangwoji Seonnyeotang Pool is a natural coastal spot in Seogwipo, Jeju, and sits along Olle Trail Course 7. It has been known as a summer swimming and snorkeling spot and a photo spot, reached by parking near Oedolgae Beach and following the path toward the coast until it joins Olle Trail Course 7.

Name and Shape

The name Hwangwoji comes from the Jeju dialect word hwanggoji, meaning rainbow. It refers to the pool's rounded, rainbow-like shoreline shape. The coast forms a gentle bay, and rock pillars standing along the water act as a natural barrier that blocks incoming waves.

Current Access

The city of Seogwipo has restricted entry to Hwangwoji coast due to the risk of falling rocks. Visitors can view Hwangwoji Seonnyeotang Pool from an observation point beside the entrance, which also looks out toward the island of Munseom, or walk Olle Trail Course 7 past Oedolgae.
