Juwangsan National Park (Juwangsan) is Korea’s representative rocky national park, located in Cheongsong County, Gyeongsangbuk-do Province. It is recognized as a UNESCO Global Geopark and is renowned for its unique geological and scenic beauty.
Centered by the 720-meter-high Juwangsan Mountain, the park boasts a wealth of attractions, including breathtaking valleys, rocky cliffs, numerous waterfalls, and Daejeonsa Temple. It is also renowned nationwide for its stunning autumn foliage.

Major Attractions and Hiking Courses

*Jubong Peak (Juwangsan Peak, 720m): The 9.5km circular trail is popular, offering a relatively gentle slope and views of rocky cliffs, valleys, and waterfalls.

*Daejeonsa Temple~Yongchu Falls Trail: Approximately 2.2km of flat riverside trail, suitable for families and seniors, and especially popular during the autumn foliage season.

*Jusan Reservoir: Famous for its underwater willow trees, it’s a popular hiking and photography spot.
*The diverse natural landscapes, including Yongyeon Falls, Jeolgol Valley, and various rock formations, are beautiful in all four seasons, but the contrast of crimson leaves and the valleys creates a particularly spectacular scene in autumn.

Recommended Visiting Times and Tips

*The fall foliage season (mid to late October) is the most beautiful, and the hiking trails along the waterfalls and valleys are enjoyable for all ages.

*It’s a popular weekend trekking route in conjunction with Andong and Pohang trips.

*The area is well-equipped with amenities, including restaurants, cafes, and parking lots.
