A coastal road in western Jeju lined with an offshore wind farm's turbines.

Sinchang Windmill Coastal Road runs along the coast at Sinchang-ri, Hangyeong-myeon, in Jeju City, Jeju Province. The road follows the shoreline past an offshore wind farm, with rows of white wind turbines visible along the water. Cha-gwido island is visible in the sea in the distance.

Wind Farm and Views

The road curves along the coastline with wind turbines set against the sea. The area is known for its sunsets and is used for walking and photography. Along the road is a walking course called an ecological experience area, which includes a jabari-sang, a wondam cheheomjang, and rest areas. A lookout point sits partway along this walking course.

Sea Walkway

Walking paths built out over the sea were opened in 2014. They were built for maintenance access to the wind turbines but are also used by visitors. The paths can become submerged at high tide, and access is restricted during those periods.
