노들섬
Nodeul Island (노들섬) is a unique cultural space on the Han River in Seoul, where art and music coexist. It is an oval-shaped artificial island located beneath the Hangang Bridge.
The name “Nodeul” means “stone where herons play.” Formerly known as Jungjido Island, it was reborn as a multi-purpose cultural space for citizens in 2019.
The island features a music venue, “Live House,” a bookstore, an exhibition space, and an outdoor lawn, hosting a variety of cultural programs such as performances, exhibitions, and readings.
Furthermore, it boasts amenities such as cafes, restaurants, and convenience stores, providing a place for citizens to relax and enjoy the views of the Han River and Seoul.
Free performances are frequently held on weekends on the outdoor stage, making it an ideal spot for viewing the stunning sunsets and nighttime views of the Han River.
An ice rink is also open in the winter, offering a variety of cultural events throughout the year.
Admission is free, and the stunning views of the Han River and downtown Seoul make it a popular destination for couples, families, and art enthusiasts.
