The Yun Dong-ju Literary Museum, located at 119 Changuimun-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul,
opened in 2012 to commemorate the life and works of poet Yun Dong-ju, who was active during the Japanese colonial period.
The Yun Dong-ju Literary Museum, housed in a remodeled Cheongunsu water purification compressor and water tank facility, consists of three exhibition halls.
Exhibition Hall 1 showcases Yun Dong-ju’s life and major works. Exhibition Hall 2, “Open Well,” depicts the well featured in his poem “Self-Portrait.” Exhibition Hall 3, “Closed Well,” symbolizes the Fukuoka Prison where he was imprisoned, displaying his poetry and videos.
