Naksan Park is a popular strolling spot in downtown Seoul, offering a chance to enjoy nature, history, and stunning night views.
It’s also the setting for the film “Kedeheon.” (Rumi and Jinwoo, Duffy and Seo, and the sunset along the fortress wall of Naksan Park…)
Located in Dongsung-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, this park is a natural rest area in the heart of the city. It’s built along the 125-meter-high Naksan Mountain (also known as “Naktasan” for its resemblance to a camel’s back).
Naksan Park is a renowned photo spot, boasting numerous vantage points offering panoramic views of Seoul’s cityscape, the city walls, and especially Dongdaemun (Heunginjimun) and the Daehakro area. The park offers a variety of amenities, including exhibition halls, pavilions, a senior citizen’s lounge, basketball courts, and badminton courts.
The park is open 24 hours a day, and admission is free.
A path connects the Seoul Fortress Wall with the Ewha Mural Village, making it an ideal location for sightseeing, strolling, and photography. It is considered the best place to enjoy the night view of Seoul, especially at sunset and at night.
