Banpo Hangang Park is a Hangang Riverside park located in Banpo-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul. It stretches approximately 7.2km, centered around Banpo Bridge (Jamsu Bridge) between Hannam Bridge and Dongjak Bridge.
The “Moonlight Rainbow Fountain,” installed on both sides of Banpo Bridge, offers a fountain show that was recognized in 2008 by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s longest bridge fountain. The fountains, combined with music and lighting, create a dazzling rainbow light show at night, attracting numerous tourists and locals.
Banpo Hangang Plateau is a relaxing space where the natural beauty of the Hangang River blends with the city, making it a great place for strolls, leisure activities, and cultural experiences.
Particularly noteworthy is the “Moonlight Rainbow Fountain,” located on both sides of Banpo Bridge and recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s longest bridge fountain.
Connected to the park is Sebitseom Island, a man-made island with seasonal flower fields of rapeseed and buckwheat flowers and walking paths, making it particularly popular in spring. There’s also an observatory at the southern end of Dongjak Bridge, offering panoramic views of the Han River and the city. Admission is free, and it’s a popular urban nature and leisure space for Seoul residents and tourists alike.
