뮤지엄 산
Museum SAN is a lush, rural museum where art and meditation merge, combining Tadao Ando’s architectural philosophy and James Turrell’s light art in a natural setting. Structure:
- Welcome Center: Ticket booth, café, art shop, and electric car shuttle departure point
- Flo wer Garden: A garden filled with pink zinnias, symbolizing pure love.
- Water Garden: A reflecting pond at the entrance to the main museum building, seemingly floating on shallow water.
- Main Building: A “box-in-box” structure, with a Paju stone exterior and exposed concrete interior, forming a triple layer. The square, triangular, and circular courtyard connects art and nature.
- Stone Garden: A meditation garden featuring nine hill-shaped stone structures inspired by Silla tombs.
- Meditation Hall: A space bathed in natural light through a crescent-shaped dome ceiling.
